AXENÉO7 is proud to present the first edition of PERF, an annual performance art event. Artists from Cameroon, Canada, France and Palestine will congregate in the Gatineau region to showcase some of the world’s most provocative and engaging live work. 

Local talents Aymara Alvarado (Gatineau) and Matt Miwa (Ottawa) will join internationally acclaimed performers Raeda Saadeh(Jerusalem, Palestine) and Jean Jacques Etame(Yaoundé, Cameroon) for a performance art event like never before seen in the National Capital region.

Special events include the launch of Desire Change: Contemporary Feminist Art in Canada and a intervention by Nicolas Rivard —La fatigue culturelle (Montreal). 

 

Partners: Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, Canada Council for the Arts, City of Gatineau, LIVE Biennial, MAWA (Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art), RAVY (Les Rencontres d’Arts Visuels de Yaoundé), Centre de production DAÏMÔN and Galerie UQO.
